Jeep Dude
Whats up Yall-

I sold my last car with the system so now I have NOTHING!!!

Right now my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee has the stock infinity gold system which sounds empty!! Any suggestions on what I should put in? Im thinking about this:

Alpine CDA -9835 for the HU

Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 Component System for front and Back

2 - Infinity Kappa 12.1 Subs in a sealed box that i am designing now

AMPS - havent decided yet...any suggestions

Thanks yall, and if yall have any of this let me know how it sounds!

i would personally ditch one of the sets of components. don't need them in the rear. i personally don't care for infinity too much because of there tweeters being too harsh for me. i primarly use dls and cdt. you really should amp those components too. not too impressed with infinity subs either. i imagine you are going with an sq system? if that is what you are after they should do you fine then.

Do this

CDT CL-61A comps up front

CDT co-axils (never use co-axils, mainly because I drive small cars, and they dont need rear fill)

Power them with an amp that'll do 50x4 @ 4ohms

Two RE SE subs with 500w to each and you'll be set. It'll get loud, and sound so ****ing good.

I am not looking for something too loud, i just want a clean sound...and I am on a budget. Im only 18, I bought my car and pay insurance gas and maitnence...i am a waiter at a restraunt called Rockfish, if any of yall have herd of it...i just want somethign that will give me a full range of sound and something not as expensive as focal...

Like I said before.

For $150, you pretty much can't find a better pair of comps (I loved my CDTs so much). RE comps might have a chance, but I've never heard them. Amp you power them is under $100. You can go with a single 15'' SE with like 600w in a ported box, and get some serious sounds out of it.

i would go with the setup that BiaBia planned out BUT I dont care if its a SUV or a van or a wagon or a 12 wheeler I would still get regular round speakers for the rear. Also I would go with a different brand of comps like DLS which will sound much better with less watts. For the subs I would go with the SE's but in a ported box since u dont have to worry too much about rattles or space. IMO i would probably just do one 15" SE ported and that would sound nice and also be cheaper than 2.

Rockfish... off Preston??
In Plano here..

Ive worked at the one on preston a few times, its too small for me though...15 tables. I work at the one on Campbell and Coit on the north west corner. We are not expanding the plano location because it is the orig. one and we were the 2nd. Ive worked there for about 2 years now.

wow you are 18 work at a resturaunt and can afford a 2001 grand cherokee? **** i could barely afford my 250,000 mile 95 grand cherokee. anyways you really don't need rear fill in that car imo. for subs check out this place http://www.ascendantaudio.com all the reviews i have seen have been excellent and those atlas subs are suppose to work very well in sealed enclosures. for a cheap component amp look into us acoustics 2080. nice power for a set up front and maybe some dls c6's and you will be set. for a sub amp a kicker kx600.1 would work nice with 2 of those atlas 12's. don't know if it is in your price range or not.

Thanks man, I work my *** for that car! I had a 1995 Jeep Cherokee with no porwer windows or locks, just the basic jeep and then i installed a system...it was decent. I bought the car for $2800 paid cash and bought it right there. I sold it for $4750 with the system and bought my '01 JGC (Black book value of $14,500) for $9,500. and I am paying everything on it. so right now i dont have a lot of funds...lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
