You basically described anyone that has ever had a subwoofer that has not deadened. Btw, its a T-line, it'll play an octave below tuning too, its not like its a 35hz and up box..

Thanks bud, even i thought the rattle was because the trunk was not deadened but I thought he wanted to add something more to the discussion.

Not my box/setup it was a local guy's. @MrFoca had his 208 t line metered in the 140s but with more power.

I agree with what you say, rattle is not god whether inside or outside the car. I am not after that as I assumed that I would need to deaden the trunk once I put subs. You'll need to deaden the trunk no matter what you get.

Did a 142.3 with 2 sq208 subs. Yes sealed on the dash, did a 144.6 with four of them. CT2200.1 was the amp I was using.

Deadener won't fix rattle. It will add a bit of weight and lower the resonance. You need to stiffen the flimsy panels. Using stuff like spray foam to fix them in place

Great stuff. Just don't get the mega expansion stuff. Basically push in on your trunk lid. You will feel it bend. You want to stop that

here is an image of the current wiring in my trunk. I guess previous owner had a sub in the back. Can someone please confirm those wires are for the amp.
