Need a Very Very shallow sub

I want to mount some very shallow subs in my truck. In total I have about 5" of space for the sub. Any ideas on subs that are really shallow depth wise but sound good?

Right now I'm looking at either the 9kv.2 or the sq10 made by elemental. I don't know of any other companies that have really shallow subs.

I have used the exile 10 in quite a few applications and it hasnt let me down yet. Mounting depth is about 3 inches

Pioneer makes a 12" shallow mount sub that is only 3 or 4 inches deep. I've never used one but I've heard they do their job alright.

Been hearing good things about the Kicker CVT subs, just under 4.5" mounting depth .

Pioneer's i have heard and they sound good for the price.

I've heard that the CVT is pretty much a thin CVR. They sound and perform about the same

I sell the pioneer and the exile. The exile 10 out plays the pioneer 12 and is far more reliable. The pioneer 12 is not a reliable driver by any strech of the imagination

JL audio makes a shallow sub. they are very pricey though but sound good as hell

yeah, try $2000. its 900watts RMS. its also 13.5"

I have one of the clarion shallow mounts. have yet to hear/install it, but it shure looks beefy.

How is the SQ of those things? I was reading a few people say they get really sloppy down low... Have you compared them to any other shallows?
