need a subwoofer for cheap.

Hey guys. I'm a senior in high school and my senior project is coming up. It determines if I pass or fail high school. Anyways, what I'm doing is I'm gonna buy a subwoofer, a prefab box, and then I'm mentoring a guy to build a custom ported box. Then I'm gonna get a meter and play different frequencies and compare how loud it is from Xhz to Yhz(not sure of exact frequencies yet) then I'm gonna make a line graph that compares the two and how they perform with different frequencies. If anyone could help with a cheap sub that'd be awesome. Thanks.

Yeah. I hit it with 500 rms for awhile, caused slight VC rub. It pounded. Still sounds great though. cosmetic isn't the best (about 5/10), but for the price shipped it's hard to beat. Or tell me what you think.

I'm not sure what kind it is, I figured regardless of whether the decibels are exact it will still give me accurate representation of where its louder at. Just not the exact loudness.

It might not give you an accurate representation. Sometimes they're accurate to a certain db range and then they start posting up ridiculous numbers. If you even slightly tap some of them they will post crazy numbers.
