Need a sub and amp for my 08 crown vic

I just talked with cscstang and were sticking to the original plan, a hdc312.

With the 20.1, can I get away with a 1 ohm version of the hdc312 If my electrical is up to it?

Lol, poor ia20.1, its not even gonna get to flex its muscles on that sub.

No, for efficiency and dampening purposes, if you are only getting a single hdc12, get a d2 and wire to 1 ohm. The ia amp is more than enough to push that sub after box rise and voltage drops.

If you want something that sounds good all around hits lows and gets punchy on the highs, go with the xcon, the shorting ring they use helps it sound very good with any genre of music. Not to mention they get down too! I miss my zcon setup in my old car, that thing sounded great while getting inches of windshield flex.

Yeah, the xcon looks perfect for what I wan't out of my system, at least wattage wise. I'll see if I can find someone to demo one in the next month or so, I travel a lot so it shouldn't be a problem.

Just placed an order. Dude had everything I needed but cable. I got that off ebay cheap, welding cable. Thx for the link.

25' of 80 mil sound deadener showed up today, at least I can get the floor done.

I may even buy a new xs power battery, I could use the extra power for my job too. I sit around a lot doing jack sh#t. Can't wait to get everything in, should be a clean install.

Well I finally finished up my big 3 wiring and crap last night, took me two days to do it. Doesn't help when the temps are 10 below, even with my heater.

A huge shout out to stang for building my really bad azz box! Its a beauty and I couldn't have asked for more.

I'll try to get a few pics up in a bit.
