need a SPL cd player that wont skip

I am finally going to start my build in a month and a half when I move from Korea to central Florida. So far I have 2 dd9518 full-carbon and AB 400.1 , all VIFA mids and highs and I am ordering an excessive amperage 180 amp alt . All going in my 2000 eclipse GT in a wall. I need a deck that wont skip like my Panisonic does when it gets over 143dbs at curtain notes. I will be looking to spend about $300-$400 and I would like it to be compatible with my I-POD and have a USB and full EQs.

143db isn't alot especially if your car has a well-built dash area. any deck should work for you

my pioneer avh 4000 doesnt skip at about 148db. and i listened to 4 15" ia dp's and 4 ia 20.1 doing like 151 on music and the guy had a pioneer d3 and his didnt skip

Kenwood x792 skips at 150.5 on music but can handle 153 burps

My jvc doesn't skip, I just have to jam something in the face were it flips open to keep the screen lit, must have a short.

I'm hopping for a 150 at least . Its a very small area for 2 18''s and I'm getting another 400.1 for .5 ohms per woofer and was thinking about going 16 volts with 3 Kinetiks HC16V. I can always switch between 12 and 16 volt. The 143 I was talking about was a single dd 9512 on a kicker 2500.1 tuned to 32 hz. It was an awesome setup for just street beatin around town.

my pioneer also skipped especially in the rex at 146 and some change. I purchased a fusion deck with the 40 anti skip and that started skipping at 153 n some change. The next route when I come out of retirement is adding a cd changer in the back like someone mentioned earlier.

no it has a 40 sec anti skip for marine or cars, but it still skips but in the rex it was at 153db. It is a good deck but to go on the budget note its better to get a cd player and changer in the rear. Can get them off of ebay pretty cheap.

I think I'll go with the pioneer avh 4000. Its a double din and I'd like the fact DVD's can be watched. Have to make the wife happy with findingNemo on those long trips.
