Need a reliable amp that does 350-400 watts @ 4 ohms

By reliable, I mean an amp that rarely ever stops working or just breaks under normal/smart usage. 350-400 watts at 4 ohms, and nothing too expensive. But I DO want the rated power. Nothing overrated.

Need something for the RE RE's I'm looking to get.

MTX rates their amps at 12 volts so if you have a good electrical system then you will get more wattage than they say.

I have this amp. I run it down to 1 OHM, and it never gets hot.

no... look more carefully. MTX rates their RMS at 12.5v, which is 125w x2. Dynamic power (power at 14.4) is 250x2.

Realistically, you should get 300-350 watts out of it wired at 4 ohms.

But IMO that amp is fuggin expensive! How much are you willing to spend?

Plus, that's at 14.4 volts. I don't think I get that many from my electrical system.

It's underrated, anyways ... and you'll probably be running close enough to 14.4 volts that it won't matter.
