Need a recommended 15" Sub, Help please

Hey my friend was going to get a 15" type r, but ive heard that they dont sound that good but get pretty loud. I'm wondering if there are better options out there for him.

-His budget is 200$ for the 15

-Going to have custom box for the 15

-The 15 will be powered by a kicker zx750.1 so it has to be able to take that power

-Wants to be a decently loud single 15 setup that doesnt sound like ***.

It's going to come up sooner or later so I'm going to mention it, Fi SSD. I'd recommend getting the copper coil option ($5) if your going to go the SSD route.

Yea, I have only heard the 12" (1 cube, sealed - zx750.1) and I was really impressed with the way it sounded.

hm do the cvx have decent SQ? my friends cvrs dont sound that great. just pure spl and dont even hit that loud. Im leaning more towards FI/RE but im not sure.. there are other options out there but not sure.. Also he can get another amp. I dont want him to have more than 1kw of power though due to stock electrical so trying to keep it in that range.

what about an RE SX? i would need to get a different amp but probably going to give it roughly 1kw.. that will get louder than an SE right?
