Wanting to go with a Fi Q

Well at first i was going to go with a 2 12" L7 set up for my next system, but after reading some more i think i have found that the Fi Q is going to be my choice. I am going to be going with a (1) 12" Q dual 2 for an suv. I have been wondering though on what amp to use. I was thinking maybe the Kicker zx 1000.1 or an Alpine PDX 1000.1 but im here asking you alls opinons on what amp i should go with because im kinda lost on which to go with. I know i could try to search but i'm at school so i don't have a lot of time to spend on here so any help would be greatly appreciated

you could go with a 15" if you have an SUV and the room lol. They aren't that much more.

A 12" in a ported box at recommended specs would be plenty loud though. Those amps sound ok but I'm sure people will chime in with their preferences. I have a friend with a zx 1000.1 and it was underrated. Birth sheet said something like 1200 watts at 2 ohms.

That Q will be happy with a minimum of 1000watts if I remember correctly. I think I read in a thread that 1200 or 1500 was the sweet spot.

The sundown SAZ-1500D is a popular choice. My Us Amps XT4000D works just fine for me

Wired to 1 ohm? That was actually another amp i was thinking about, but is running a sub at 1 ohm daily okay for it?

zx1500 is a good match. It'll provide more power than enough power for that woofer. Headroom ftw.

If you have the room why not go with a 15?

i prefer to run @ 2 ohm due to the decreased current going through the sub(easier on it).

But if your gonna run rms or just above i wouldn't worry about it.

If you go with an amp that runs at 2 ohm, such as a Kicker ZX1000.1 or ZX1500.1, you'll need a Dual 1 ohm version sub, not the Dual 2 you list that you will purchase.

i ran 2kw @ .5 to mine... and it got stinky, but thermally took all an hk4000 could throw at it @ 2(couldn't get it to smell).

i'm just saying in general, thermally subs like higher impedance's.
