need a recommendation....

Hi all! Glad to have joined. I'm a total noob but I've learned alot already from just reading posts. I'm looking to run a sub in my Volvo, and possibly a pair of 6x9's in the back. I'm looking for an amp that'll do the job. Do I need to get a bridgeable 4ch amp? Or is there a way to get away with a 2ch amp and run everything off the 2 ch's. And what's the dif between a 2 ch and 3 ch amp. I've seen what looks like some good deals on ikesound.com. Looking to spend around $150. Don't need alot of power, just enough to handle everything. The Lanzar stuff looked cool to me, is this a good brand?

Thanks in advance...

Ryan.

I wouldn't touch lanzar with a 10 foot pole (that's just me). If you're looking for a single amp to power both the 6x9's and the sub, then I would get a Memphis Belle 16-MCH600 (or 16-MCH1300): it can be configured as either a 5 channel or 3 channel bridged: (http://www.memphiscaraudio.com/

The Memphis Belle
All-in one. Designed to power an entire system, the Belle literally combines the power of a Class D amplifier with the range of Class AB. The bass section of the MCH600 offers 400 Watts @ 1 ohm on channel 5, and 55 Watts x 4 of Class AB full range power. The MCH1300 offers a massive 1100 Watts @ 1 ohm on channel 5, and 75 Watts x 4 of Class AB full range power.
55 watts x4/ 100 watts x1 (at 4 ohms)

75 watts x4/ 200 watts x1 (at 2 ohms)

150 watts x2/ 400 watts x1 (at 4 ohms bridged)

However, you won't find them for $150. New, it'll probably go for around $400. You can probably find one used for $200. Worth the extra money in my mind.
