If you're o.k with good used, go to a web site called audiogon.com. It's a website for high end audio classifieds. You can pick up some really good deals on there. Most of the people on their are audio enthusiasts who take good care of their equipment. A good match for the B&W's would be a rotel reciever to get you started. You can pick one up right now, the rsx-1057, on there for $675.00. Has hdmi, 7.1, etc. I first started with a B&W/rotel set up and loved it! Another name you can look into is Integra. It's the upper level made by Onkyo. They too are a good starting point for receivers. I would choose the rotel over the Integra, but this gives you some options to check out.
