Need a receiver

I just recently bought some B&W 685's for the start of my home theater project. So now I'm in search of a receiver. For the time being I'm just going to run the two 685's until I can afford to get the 62 center channel and then the 686's for the surrounds.

My budget is around 500-600 but if something alittle more expensive is worth it then I'm willing to saveup for it.

What features are you looking for? Are you set on buying new? or are you o.k. with buying used? BTW, good choice on speakers, you will not be disappointed.

I'm definltly not afraid of buying good used stuff. And features I guess I don't really know other than hdmi inputs and ipod ready. What are some features I should be looking for? I'm very new to all of this other than just having a home theater in a box. I'm looking to upgrade everything from the tv to the speakers and everything in between.

If you're o.k with good used, go to a web site called audiogon.com. It's a website for high end audio classifieds. You can pick up some really good deals on there. Most of the people on their are audio enthusiasts who take good care of their equipment. A good match for the B&W's would be a rotel reciever to get you started. You can pick one up right now, the rsx-1057, on there for $675.00. Has hdmi, 7.1, etc. I first started with a B&W/rotel set up and loved it! Another name you can look into is Integra. It's the upper level made by Onkyo. They too are a good starting point for receivers. I would choose the rotel over the Integra, but this gives you some options to check out.
