need a new fps

do you play on ps3 or xbox?
i have an xbox, got to second prestige 50 in a little under 2 weeks after i got the game.
I have both, but really never play my xbox. Selling it actually. Yeah, I was lvl 7 after the first match at launch (dogs in my first care package lol) I'm ranked like 2000 on the prestige boards, so it's kind of fun murdering peeps

I have a ps3. I have borderlands and enjoy it, but lookin for a more tactical game rather than a run n gun adventure game.

I mainly want a good multiplayer where teamwork matters, but at least a single player I wont get bored with.

Its hard to decide with every game I look at has people that love it and people that hate it, and I dont have cash to dump into a bunch of games lol

I saw it...and I'm with you on not being able to lay srs cash down on a multitude of games. Well, I could, but that would just postpone my current build; and we can't have that happening. Honestly, Time Crisis and the like are fun every now and then if you get the gun. Beyond that FPS market is saturated and no one puts any effort into continued playability, just putting as much graphic pizazz and initial catchiness as possible. Once people have bought it the game company has won, and once they trade it in, GameStop has won.

lol very true.

I remember playing Area 51 as a kid, very short game, but for some reason I would play it over and over.

BC2, and wait for BF3

Rented Homefront for ps3 from a redbox. Like I said, besides 5 minutes of black ops, I've been outta the gaming realm for a looooong time, so it's hard to compare this to other fps'. But I really liked it. Lot's of people say the story is too short, 3-5 hours, but I played maybe 1.5 hours and enjoyed what I saw. Multiplayer is definitely awesome, and good enough for me to want to buy it now. Graphics are average, controls like any other fps, but some reason I got addicted real fast. Not sure what it is but unlike black ops I didn't get bored. Just doesn't feel as repetitious. Definitely worth a rental at least if you've been hesitant about getting this.

Seriously look at Battlefield Bad Company 2 it wont disapoint... Its so many games in one not just running around on your own killing peeps like COD (which is good if your into that). It also has teams of 4. Great for team based combat and a great team will always win. Graphics are awesome and the weapons well balanced but hit reg and getting stuck on sticks fu... me off. All in all one of the best games out there at the mo but BF3 will sh... on them all.

COD has about 25 different online game modes, including all of the examples you listed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

as everyone else said, bad company 2 is definitely a must get. also make sure you spring for the vietnam expansion. i play vietnam on hardcore pretty much solely now. it's pretty realistic on hardcore. you don't know how much ammo is left, no aimers except for iron sight, etc.

and ya also wait for bf3. that game is hopefully purely awesome. bf2142 was probably the most fun i've ever had though. something about bf2142 was perfect the way it was set up. the maps were big enough so that it really required squad work in order to win, and you also got to know your squad members pretty well during a round.

the only bad part about bc2 is that it lacks the squad play. yes it has squads, but it's just pretty much people spawning on other people and not as much strategy. also, pretty much no one has a mic, and the mic chat doesn't work in like 75% of the servers it seems. also, you're not really working together with your squad as much as in bf2142, so you don't really get to know them, and honestly they make it so that you really don't give a crap about them, as long as theres a green spot on the map to spawn on.
