Need a lil help guys

Okay! Here's the deal, I want to have loud bass, not competition loud but I want it **** loud!

This is what I have to work with:

AMP- Power Acoustik A2400db mono 2400 watts

A box for 2 12's

Montero Sport

And about $300 to spend on some subs

I had 2 Alpine Type R's that I blew about a month ago. But I have been looking at the RE Audio SE-12. What I am wondering is if they will be louder than the type r's, and can they handle that amount of wattage? If they won't be louder or they can't handle that amount of power, then what is my best bang for the buck, taking into consideration my amp and my financial situation?

Sorry if these are stupid questions but I just want to make sure I am getting the best that I can. Also Im not too familiar with all the technical talk about subs so if you throw some at me I probably won't know what your talking about haha.

the type R's have the ability to be louder than the SE's...how the heck did you blow them r's? i was overpowering the crap outta mine and they didn't blow????? hmmmm....

I know man I was just being a dumb *** and turning all the bass controls up all the way on my deck and had it maxed out for about an hour straight:crying:

okay well one is blown for sure but the other im not too sure about, but im pretty sure its still good. How do I wire it to just that sub, i tried going negative to negative and posotive to posotive but it didn't work... what do I do to test it?

pioneer 3002spl's, the rms is 1000rms, but I bet that's underrated. I ran mine off 600 watts rms each in a 1.6 ft^3 box @35hz (each) and it was very loud and retained decent sound quality.

plus, pioneer is known for it's durability

thanks for the reply but i have a question and i know its a newb question so dont make fun of me haha, what eactly does it mean when people talk about the size of their box and then they say "tuned" or "@" some amount of hz's?

To test the speaker get a digital multimeter, set it to resistance(ohms) and see what you get for a value. Compare that value to another known good speaker.

tuned to "hz" depends on the size of the box and size of the port that sub is made to perform best at.

As far as sub recommendations I would say 2 12" L7s, 06 or 07 models can be found @ 150 per.

Maybe even try a Memphis MOJO 15"

i have thought about the L7's but i already have a box for 2 12's and im not really in the financial situation to build or buy another box right now.. So im trying to get the best 2 12's i can get for around that much.
