need a key made for a truck

ok so i bought a dodge dakota and the bastard gives me the key but apparently it only works for the ignition not the doors (no power locks) WTF and he doesnt have the other key says he "forgot to tell me"........any ideas...its an 88 dakota.

Pull out the door lock and make it work with your key.

If you don't want to mess with it your self, any half a$$ locksmith should be able to do it in no time.

simple, call a locksmith, theyll cut a key. MY Half brothers' dad is a locksmith so if you want to know the whole process id be happy to tell you.

Just buy a lock for the doors. They sell those at pretty much any auto part place.

Once you pull the lock apart you will be able to relocate, replace or file down the tabs to work with just about any key.

or,

take the lock and key to a locksmith and they can do it for you on the spot.
