ive checked google for probably an hour but cameup w/ count less forums that have like 10 people..............any one know of a good big one?

good goalie helmet.................looking for one w/ a cat-eyed mask but still like under 200

i was looking at the olie 9900 but i donno if that will be enough protection

Get a Hackva from http://www.donsimmons.com. It's $262 US. Best new helmet you'll find for the price. The guy used to make helmets for TPS, SherWood, and I believe Vaughn.

im pretty sure u can get whatever helmet u want then get a cat eye cage im not a goalie but ive been around them almost everyday for the last 3 years

Most helmets need a specific model cat-eye as the mounting will vary from mask to mask.

But, most new helmets are available with standard certified cages, certified cat-eye, and non cert cat-eye cages.

yea i just remembered hearing somethign about cat eyes not being allowed in the some of the leagues im pretty sure they arnt allowed in the one i came from but owell im just a defense men what do i know lol

also speaking of hockey i need some new equipment

IIRC they're like $20 cheaper from Simmons. I've bought a ton of shit from Simmons, just about all of my equipment from them over the past 10 years or so, great people.

If you go to their website, and sign up on their forum, they may give you a discount on the Hackva. I'm a member of the forum, talked to Mark who works there, and he gave me $100 off of my pads I picked up about 2 months ago.

Non-cert cat-eyes are usually only illegal in under-18 leagues. Most adult leagues really won't give a shit if the cage is certified or not, at least around here.

Olie 9900 is often referred to as a "Widowmaker" mask...I'd stay far away from that mask as possible.
