Need a hand with my velodyne subs

I have 2 12" velodyne df12sc subs. One is brand new and the other is in fair shape with a torn surround in one spot. I bought a new surround but i don't know what compound to use to reattach it. The glue that came with the surround looks like elmers glue and doesn't stick. I called a few sub repair shops and even velodyne and nobody wants to touch this thing.

Those were some of the sweetest sounding subs I ever heard in my life!! And, they don't make them anymore....go figure...
