Alright guys, so to put it simply, im not looking to break any records, blow out my windshield, wake up the neighbors dog 10 minutes out, or make my ears bleed

Basically i want something that will do 800 Watts RMS @ 2 or 1 Ohm, a TRUE 800 WATT AMP, for under 300 Dollers. I want something that will DO RATED POWER, i see all these dirt cheap Kenwood , Sony, Pioneer, ETC amps that say they do so and so power.. but do they really?

Needs-

800 Watts RMS @ 2 or 1 Ohm - TRUE WATTS @ 12 Volts, Not overrated

Under 300 Dollers

Im not asking for alot here, only 800 watts rms, under 300 dollers.. and actually puts out every last watt of the 800, not overrated

any suggestions?

Amps like these are what im talking about, do any do rated power?

The Hifonics BXI1606D is rated for 1100 watts at 2 ohms. I doubt that amp will see that much power in a car. Probably around 900 or so. It can also be had for under $300. Check ebay.

Look in the classifieds.....youll find something solid there.

Iceteebone has a Tantrum 1200.1 for sale for $250. Will do around 1400 at 2-4 ohms.

Or, try to find an ED 9.1- should be able to find one in your budget.

is the ED nine.1 for real? 1200 watts RMS @ 12.5 Volts.. NOT OVERrated, reliable.. its the real deal?
reliability would be the only thing place I'd worry about. ED isn't known for having the best customer service, but I'd still say for a budget amp, it's one hell of a deal. Honestly, when you posted this it was the first thing that came to my mind, that and hifonics.

Does it do rated power? at normal volts? aka not rated at like 14.4, or something that my car will never see

What the hell are you talking about......do you just sit in the driveway and listen to your system with the ACC. on or do you listen to it when you drive?

The reason I am asking is becuase if you are parked and the engine isn't on but the cars ACC. is then you are using 12v to powercars electronics and your stereo but if you have the car on (regardless if you're parked or driving) then you are feeding 14.4v to your cars electrical and your stereo.

So If you listen to your stereo with the car on more then you do with the car off and ACC. on then you want an amp that will do the power you want off a 14.4v power supply and 14.4 volts is not overated.

14.4v is your alt which is in use when car is on parked or not.when the car is off all power comes from the battery which is a 12.5v power supply.

No 16v is something overated unless you have a 16v power supply to work with.
