Need A Good Laugh:

what makes you think im smoking crack? its in a sealed box, "foamed in" or not, its probably not going to get too loud

Straight from what you posted in my one thread about the Fi Q! There are actually about 4 to 5 posts in there of you talking **** about how it wont sound good. Saying stuff like "you are excpecting too much from a sealed box" and others. I could list them all if you like.

Now who is the dumbass! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
are we talking about a sealed box from Wal-Mart?
No, its custom made to fit my Fi q 12". Its your everyday mdf sealed box, but the guy is just a tool. It sounds sweet, just finally figured what was wrong with the sub. Wasnt my box. I am thinking its the tinsel slap.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

for some reason this is the funniest post in this thread. maybe i'm imagining the hidden humor in it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
yessir.

i thought it was obvious but i guess i'll use "/sarcasm" next time.

so since your making fun of lower end stuff, what do you drive, a ferrari? im sure your car is alot lower end than most good stuff out there. moron. some people arent as into car audio as us, why would they go spend hundreds or thousands on a system
For **** sakes lighten up. We re all enthusiast, so of course we have strong oppinions of stuff at walmart(which I would label as under low end). We arent ragging on the people as much as the gear. IMO if I couldn't afford something other than sparko from wallys I would rock stock and put my **** money in the bank to begin with. Now kindly get the stick out of your ass.

i used to own one of those jensen 10's in a bandpass box from walmart. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
When I was young and working at McDs in HS, I laughed at my friends who bought and bragged about worthless gear like that. I put my money in the bank, then when I got a good paying job out of high school and extra dough to blow I bought a nice setup. I just don't see the point in buying ANYTHING if you don't have the funds to do it right.

i never bragged about it, but at that time i didn't about car audio and i wanted to do it myself so i used cheap equipment

200 for 15 or 12 tc9 or 100 for type r //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hide.gif.2d479cfd917eedfe201353b91522ceab.gif , 75 for fosgate 225.2 older version 650+rms, 75+ for cheap hu and speakers. rest for install. I no where near even a beginner I dont' know much but I at least know that for $400 you can build a decent system. its not gonna be amazing but its gonna beat out walmart stuff. yes if you spent less on walmart stuff and lots more on the install ya you may beat me that way im just saying to the average person doing the average install then wal-mart stuff isn't good. My friend brags about his 3 12" walmart subs sound like ****. I showed him my sub he almost **** himself. Not saying ppl who have walmart stuff are bad or anything like that. Im just saying you could do alot more for the money.

Give me 300 hundred dollars for walmart stuff and ill give you 400 for other stuff. Id like to see you get a decent amp, decent subs, wiring, and a headunit for that. I can get all that at walmart and I will beat you on the termlab. Its all about install man. Sure equipment plays a slight role but install is the key to stuff

and i was talking about a sealed box facing forward, i wouldnt think it would get loud foamed or not

my first sub was from walmart, lightning audio p10.2 running off a pioneer amp that did 100x1 in a box that was 3/4^3 with a 1" pvc pipe for a port //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

so you dont buy anything thats not name brand? they just arent into it as much as us, thats all im saying
Im just saying that usally name brand stuff is alot better thats why the are a name brand. If they made bad products they wouldn't really be considered a name brand.

If people want to buy to wal mart stuff by all means they can go ahead. More power to ya if you like it:)

hold on, i just put the box specs on this port calculator site and it said it was tuned for like 18 hz with that pvc pipe, and it says for a 36hz tuning the pipe needs to be like 2 inches long. does that sound right for a 3/4^3 box?

OK, let me state that not all wally has to offer is total crap. I am mainly talking about the sparko, road gear, etc type crap. Splodes and lightnig are worth learning off of to some extent. definitely over oem. So long as you stay away from misaligned preloaded enclosures.

I just don't find the REALLY cheap stuff worth replacing stock stuff with.

my car didn't come stock with a subwoofer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif i also got a pioneer 6500 from walmart for $100 and it worked great for me.

Neither did mine, but I found it better than listening to some one note wonder BP from the bottom of the barrel. lawl. It's all preference, if you liked it then cool. My dad always had good home gear, so I always knew how I wanted it to sound. I never was into SPL or just having stuff to make noise. It was about how good it sounded to me.
