Need a cheap alarm system any suggestions

check out asianwolf.com they have cheap shit that works good. I have installed three of their lower model alarms, and not had any problems, except that the fobs are pretty cheesy. But they WILL remote start your car, page you and go off when its appropriate etc...
Which do u reccomend?

I installed an Autopage RF-420 on my 1997 Civic EX when the factory alarm crapped out. All in all, with battery backup, the autopage SIS-12 sensor, and an additional siren, I paid right at $130 for all the materials and did a stealth install myself.

The alarm itself was about $80. It doesn't do remote start, but, I don't need that feature. My main goal was to protect the car from getting boosted. Next time I rip the car apart, I am going to install a hidden kill switch or two. Overkill, probably, but the car has sentimental value to me because it belonged to my wife who died in January 2007.

No it was installed by best buy when I used to work there so i have free uninstall.
No you don't. They only uninstall audio equipment for free.

Back on topic. The Viper 350 is a good entry level alarm. $240 installed. If you want to go the DIY route the the Automate AM 5 is the same alarm except it doesn't come with a siren. It comes with horn honk and a siren can be added. PM me if you want to know more.

Na I'm pretty sure the reciept has free uninstall because there was a big ordeal about wether or not they could do r/s on a manual for legal reasons, they finally said yes, but turns out they couldn't figure it out... idk.

Trust me I have been with Best Buy a long time. Audio only

Legally we can not do remote starts on a manual.

Good luck with that. In the 15 years I have been with Best Buy we never offered a free alarm pull. Maybe your guys didn't know SOP.

Back on topic darkhunter139 I am glad I could help you.
