need a budget active setup

It's this tweeter. http://www.madisound.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?cart_id=3187937.3132&pid=635The Daytons(7") like a rather low x-over point 2kz minimum IMO. I liked 1.4-1.6khz. If you go with the polys it will generate more tweeter options because they can be crossed alot higher than the Daytons.
x2. But I've heard a lot of people having problems with tinsel slap and that the dayton has more mid-bass...

I'm still on the fence on which one to run in conjunction with this Seas tweet.

I think that's what I'm going to do. I've already got the rs180-4's on the way and I'm leaning toward either the aluminum Seas neo or the Tang Band 25-1414SC.

I'm running 2 pair of the AA mids with NO tinsel slap, crossed at 70Hz and I crank them up plenty loud. There is a simple fix with a drop of Super Glue I believe to shorten them up.

if thats the case, imo AA should fix that crap before selling products.
It is enough of a reason there alone for me to not buy a set, lord knows I am collecting one of everything else though. You asked for loud, do you mean loud like your setup or just something with some output...
