I need a custom box. This will be going in a 97 Toyota 4runner, and I want a sealed enclosure built to specs. I am new at this, so I dont know what else you need to know to get the enclosure built. I would like some prices along with pics of previous builds if possible. If any more info is needed, let me know. Thank you.

I can do it. I'm in Fort Worth, Texas so shipping wouldn't be much to Arkansas. Here is a few pics of a box I built for another IS300 owner on my lexus forum. It was a carpeted sealed box for a 12" alpine type R with a plexiglass window so you could see the magnet. She mounted the amp to the side. As far as driver selection between the two you listed...the IDQ is more SQ oriented than the ID. What are you looking for?

I am looking for sq. I have 2 JBL 10's right now in a prefab probox. Way more bass than I wanted. SQ is ok, but far from being worth what I put into it. Can you give me a rough estimate of cost (need to know a ballpark price, I understand you wont know exactly). I was thinking about doing tan carpet to match my interior, but never saw that done, what do you think? I just need something built to specs so I can get better SQ. Thanks a lot, anyone else?

I'm guessing I'll need to get 2 yards of carpet. I usually get my carpet for enclosures at Partsexpress...do you think this looks like a match for your interior?

If all you wanted was a sealed and carpeted enclosure built to spec I could do it for $120.

Here is a pic that lets you see the color a little. I am trying to sell my JBL's and cant do anything until they are sold. I am not sure, I would like to keep my setup around $200, which would mean that the IDQ is out of the question with a custom box. That was the sub I was leaning towards, but at 160, that dont leave me much for a box. Any ideas? Thanks.

anyways I don't build sealed enclosures I put all my time

into getting the most out of ported applications

Honestly I would go for the ID10 for use in a sealed application. It would have a little more output. The two drivers are close in SQ too. How much power are you going to throw at it?

I have an old school Rockford Fosgate 360a2 amp. Although rated at 360, I have heard people claim bench tests showing all the way up to 500 watts. If the ID 10 and the IDQ 10 will be close in SQ, I may do the ID with custom enclosure. What do you think? My JBL's sound great at hight volume, but that is not how I use my system so whatever I get needs to sound great at low volume (one 10 should do the trick) Thanks a lot.

You should be able to run that amp on an ID if you set your gains correctly. Since you are putting it in a sealed enclosure you can run a little more power too. If you really want to get your system around your price mark I could cut you some slack and do the box for $100+whatever FedEx charges to your zipcode.
