Need a a good 8" shallow woofer

Good find! Those would be a great choice for midbass duty, imo.
they are only 75 rms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

250 RMS into both might not give them a long life span. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

They'll take more than 75wrms.... set the gains to give them each a clean 150wrms and they'll do just fine, I'm sure. Remember, just because your amp can produce 2x250w rms doesn't mean you have to find speakers that will handle all of that power.

anybody know their mounting depth?

2 things....
1. Putting your midbass under your seat makes no sence as far as imaging goes. You want the midbass in you face if possible ie in the kick or it can be in the door but not under your ***

2. I wouldn't use a driver that is a specified subwoofer as a midbass driver. If you want a true midbass driver then look into the 8in Dayton Reference mid or a vifa 7in midbass. They are built to be a midbass and will respond better in that frequencey range. Link to daytons:

we they way the enclosure will be made, the woofer will fire out the front side where the seat is, so half of it will be exposed firing into the crotch. so it wont be directly under the seat.

if you didint i was going to have to buy them

they look good for mid basses. i realy was going to get them if you diidnt . im looking at daytons right now but kinda pricey

Ive been told those Pioneers will **** as midbass units. *shrug* Not just any 8 works well up to 250hz+. But like said above, they are going to be under your seats, so it doesn't really matter anyway.

Good luck with this idea.
