Need a 2Din dvd head unit, take your pick

Looking at these....

Eclipse AVX 2404, does all i need but i don't think its Sirius-ready, someone correct me if it is.

Kenwood DDX 6017, a little concerned about sound quality and eq options compared to the other 2.

Alpine IVA-W200, does everything i need well i'm pretty sure but about $200 more than the other 2.

What i want is a CD/DVD Double Din unit thats Sirius ready and has good sound quality. I don't plan to add any external processors.

can you load cd's into the Double din unit? or do you have to buy a 6 disk dvd/cd changer?

they all fold down and have a slot for cd's but i will probably get a changer down the road too.

I've always been a fan of Alpine, and plan on installing a W200 by the end of this month. My buddy recently got one installed and it's a very nice unit.

You mentioned eq, and stated that you didn't plan on adding a processor. I'm pretty sure the W200, unlike many of the Alpine flip-out models, is fairly basic in the fact that it does not have any built-in crossovers or equalizers at all. For this reason, I'll be adding a PXA-H701. My amps do not have built-in crossovers. Also, with the addition of video, I figure I might as well add a center channel and do 5.1. The W200 will not do this on its own. I love the fact that the W200 will control both the PXA-H701 and the Blackbird from the touch screen. I have not looked at the Eclipse unit, but I have compared the Alpine and Kenwood. The Kenwood's menu moves slower and isn't quite as simple and user friendly. Then again, I'm just really used to Alpine stuff.

thanks for the input, the eclipse isn't sirius ready but i found a new clarion unit unit, the max675vd that looks like everything i need, just waiting on a price.

im looking for about the same thing but in single or double din unit. i am not familiar with any of the DD units so i decided to try to find a flip out.

The units I have been looking at are as follows:

Pioneer AVIC N1

Pioneer AVIC N2

Clarion VRX765VD

Apline IVA-D310

I'm not to conserned with navigation and want to spend only 1k or so on one. Does anyone know which of these are a better unit or why. Or maybe anyone have experience.

i'll be using a epicenter or somethign later on

I like the 7017 model of that kenwood for 5v pre outs

I saw the alpine dual in action the screen sucks.. the button feel is so cheap.. I would not buy the alpine...

Really? I guess it's just a matter of personal preference. I didn't feel that way at all about the Alpine.
