Recently whenever i turn my head unit on there is a loud popping sound from the subs. When i start to play music at a low level it seems fine but when i turn it up higher the subs get very distorted and when i turn the headunit of the subs continue to play the same distorted bass untill i turn my car off. Does anyone know what could cause this. The head unti is a pionerr deh-p7600mp.

I'm having that same problem with my DEH-740MP. Also, when I turn the volume to zero and then bring it back up, it will pop again. But, it doesn't always do it so I think that there is just a loose wire somewhere. I think it might be the ground on my amp because I got lazy and stuck on a bolt below my seat. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif Even when I change something like...the Loud feature on my h/u, it will do it. Anyone want to shed light on this, or am I correct in my assumption that it is just a poor ground?

EDIT: nvm, i'm just going to get off my lazy butt and go check it myself...

I thought it was my amp to becaus ei have always had problems with it. But i change head units and it works fine.

ALso, now that i put the head unit back in the subs will play the same way with the distortion but my speakers no longer work.
