I am looking to get a single 15" sub for a system I'm building. I want it to be around 700-1000w RMS. I have a tight budget so it has to be under $250.

Looking for something that gets fairly loud but sounds good as well.

It could be a 18" sub as well but I only have about 4-5 cubes of internal volume to work with and I don't know of any good 18s that work in that small of a space.

15" konaki with high roll surround flat wind coils. carbon fiber cone and cap. I have a used and brand new one. d1 coils.

Appearantly people are trying to sell you stuff instead of recommend you something.

For that price there are a few options. The FI SSD 15" sub and the Dayton TIT400C-4 sub are two that come to mind.

my mb quarts are pretty beast, sound awesome and were fairly cheap. woofers etc has the reference series on sale for $80 ea, actually i bought the pair from woofers etc ebay store for $202 shipped they are dual 2 ohm voice coils @ 700 rms per coil------link--------- http://cgi.ebay.com/2-MB-Quart-RWE-352-New-15-2800W-DVC-Subwoofers-RWE352_W0QQitemZ130303876498QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Subwoofers_Enclosures?hash=item1e56b75d92&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A1|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50

fi ssd, re sx, RF t1, kicker compVX or L7.... there's so many these days I could go on and on
I know there is a lot that is why I am asking for some specific opinions.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Also, is there somewhere I can get the SX15 for under $250? I haven't seen it that low yet.

go with a DD 1515...it will make you happy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I looked into DD and e-mailed them about some prices a week ago. They still have not got back to me. There isn't any DD dealers close to me either. Does anyone know about how much the DD1515 or the DD2515a go for?

I'm in a similar situation. If I could, i'd pick the audioque sd2.5.

Unfortunately I need to run at 4ohms and the audioque only come in dual 4.

So i'm going to go with an FI ssd. I have a simliar thread to yours a little ways down, you can see what people recommended there.

I'll check it out, thanks.

So that is two people for the SDC2.515. What type of sound should I expect from it? Is it made for loudness, SQ, mix of them?

Thanks for the help so far. I started this thread to narrow down my options but now I just have more to into.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

mb quarts are sq with loud clean bass, also theres treo engineering tsi series, its their lowest line but they are still pretty beastly, boasting a 2.5" linear excursion and 305oz. neodymium magnet

I finally did. They said that maestro is required for the backup camera to work. Seems odd to me.
