The Neck Cutter
I need to put 5 deep cycle batteries in my trunk to power a 5000Watt amp. The problem I am having is finding them. Of course I found all the Optima batteries and Kinetic, but I would like to avoid 200$ a pop for a good battery. I did see the Stinger batteries, but I'm not sure of the feedback on them. Does anyone know from experience how these perform as compared to the optima's? Or, what would be the best alternative to the Optima that is cheaper? If I go this route, how will it affect my system as a whole? I am not too sure what I am looking for in a battery as far as specs for a 5000watt amp so if someone could explain that would be better.(IE how many CCA's I will need from each battery for 5000Watts) I don't want to be a pain in the *** though. Thanks.
EDIT: I forgot to mention, I was told I would need 5 Batteries, so if there is a 2-4 Battery combination that puts out more power or "CCA's"and would properly run 5000watts please inform me. I am thinking a 300-350 HO Alternator which will be isolated.
