I just have no idea where to run for 15's considering i have never heard any 15's.... i have 3 10's type r's in the same box but i think i want to go for 2 15's. I really wanted to get 2 orion hcaa's but the $550 a peice is brutal... any reccomendations for my direction? throw out some brand names... im open to opinion...

also i might aim towards 3 12's? ---> better or no?

I've been running my Sundown SA 15's for almost a year now and they sound amazing! Don't have too much as far as high end woofers to compare them too though.

How about pair of these 12"?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Power, maximum space and budget?
well i have a fosgate t1000.1bd... i can add to that if i need to.... but my budget would be around 1000 if it REALLY needs to go that high... and max space?? my entire back seat... so like a 28"x38"x65" box and it could be bigger if i made it bend down onto the floor... so really i have an infinite amount of space and i could really get creative...but i only want like maxx 3 15's... space isnt a problem

Well I did 142 db last year but that was before my box rebuild and they are noticably louder now. My box is tuned to ~36hz and they love to get low on Decaf or slowed music. They sound very clean and accurate no matter the volume. I give them 1250rms each though, so a little over double their rms rating and they're loving it.

Sorry if that doesn't make sense, i'm having a hard time describing the "amazingness" haha

Also in the sundown line you could look into the X line, as well as the new Z v.4's.

For 1000 I'd say 450 for 2 American bass xfls and the other 550 on an amp. Then you need to upgrade your electrical..... and build the enclosure.

On second thougth the sa's may be for you as they wont take as much power as an xfl. You'd probably get away with 2 sa 15's, a amp that will put out about 2k, and the box. With that power you may be able to get away with a good battery in the stock location, a big one in the back and the big 3. I still see you going over 1000 though.

i have the big 3... 2 batterys.. 1 of them being a red top in the back... i have a fosgate t1000.1bd to push it... i can build the enclosure no problem just need the right subs/amp upgrade

With the power you have on hand I would say sundown sa15's without a doubt. I am running 2 of them in 8 cubic ft tuned at 33 hertz running off a crappy audiopipe apsm2000 in 2 ohm. At that load the amp is putting out 800-900 watts and they are very loud my friends find it uncomfortable at max volume..

If you are willing to go used I saw a pair of the sundown night shade 15's on eBay still under warranty for 500 for the pair. Good thing about sundown is the 2 year transferable warranty.. He'll I had a pair of their e series 15's and was running the ap on them for a while in 1 ohm and they never missed a lick.

The image dynamics idmax subs are like 350$ each and are the shiz as well.
