Need 12" sub recommendations for SQ at ~210 watts RMS

I currently have an 12" MTX sub in a sealed enclosure, but it seems like it's on its last legs, so it's time for a replacement. Willing to spend in the ballpark of $200, and looking for SQ over earth-shattering bass.

Amplifier is a Kicker ZX700.5, RMS Power Rating:

4 ohms: 70 watts x 4 chan. + 210 watts x 1 Class D Sub channel

2 ohms: 85 watts x 4 chan. + 420 watts x 1 Class D Sub channel

4 ohms (bridged): 130 watts x 2 chan. + 420 watts x 1 chan. (2 ohms sub channel, 210 watts @ 4 ohms)

I've got very good sound quality and imaging right now (at least I think so) with DLS MS6 components up front and Focal 690CAs in the rear deck. All audio is tuned through a car-computer with custom audio drivers, with a 80Hz high pass for the front and deck speakers, and 80hz low-pass for the subwoofer. All speakers are also time-delayed according to their distance from driver's seat. (More info on carputer here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/312330/2000-toyota-solara/page-2)

Here are my current box dimensions that I would like to re-use if possible

***EDIT*** I forgot to account for MDF thickness. Volume is actually 1.17 cu ft.

So far, I've looked at the RE SE12, the Boston Acoustics G5 (pricey), and some image dynamics. What other subs would pair well for this setup? I am willing to buy a new box if necessary, but I'd like to avoid it. Also, if it's absolutely impossible to get good SQ (tight, clean bass) with this little power, I'd consider adding a separate amp but I REALLLLLY don't want to.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I have a brand new TC Sounds TC1000 12" dual 4ohm which would work nicely in that enclosure with the amp you have. $150 plus shipping. PM if interested. Picture of sub in my avatar pictures.

hmm, i didn't realize the box was so big. i bought it from a friend like 6 years ago before i knew anything about car audio. any good places that sell sub and box for around $250?

Yea, building your own box is by far the best option.

If you are intent on a new sub and box(which is suggested) then pick out a subwoofer and size. Then you can start looking at options for enclosures.. Do not buy a prefab box as they are normally poor quality and are built to generic specs and you will not get the most out of your sub with one.

only problem is i'm a med student on rotations with very little time, i kind of need a plug and play option. i posted in the wanted section but it doesnt seem like there were any decent setups available, i got offered a kenwood and hifonics with box, but everything else was without.

on a different note, is the 200W RMS sufficient?

You have a good amount of power at 2 ohm on the sub channel. Just need a decent dual 4 ohm, dual 1 ohm, or single 2 ohm to take advantage of it. Also, building an enclosure like a properly tuned ported enclosure will help with output. I could offer to build an enclosure once you figure out a sub, but I don't think it will fit in a budget that your talking about.

If you did want to do this option I could get a box built and shipped quickly so you would have everything around the same time frame(in most cases that is), and all you would have to do is throw the sub in and put the box in the car.
