So, I have two Alpine Type R 12's (500rms each D4) that are ran, at the moment, to a Kicker 400.1 (aprox. 483rms). Does anyone know where i can get a good amp, about 1000watts rms, for pretty cheap? define "pretty cheap". What's the MAX you wanna spend?

Look in the classifieds section on here. You could probably get a good 1000rms amp for about $150-200 maybe less.

OP, how loud are your type r's right now?

They hit pretty clean at the moment, they only have about 240 watts to each. You can tell that they are pretty power hungry. lol. They are some bad sub compaired to what i have had in the past. I was looking to spend under 300. 200 or lower would be even better. lol

how loud are they though, i want to know how loud they are only given around 300 watts each. I think my amp has a problem, that's why.

Oh, well i havent had then rated or anything. But my kickers, which were about 200rms on the same amp, were rated around 134db. The alpines are probably hittin 136 or 137. I saw your gallery, thats a bad a$$ sutup for the Type Rs. The hifonics bxi 2008 amp that you mentioned, is that what you have in your car?

No problem, those were just some ideas. You really have a BROAD selection with $300. Lots to choose from.

Not one of my favorites, but then again, that's just me. Never have liked alpine amps... they always seem to be missing something.....maybe balls?
