ne1 know about shallow mount???

i have a supercrew truck and

i just bought 3 10" premier shallow mount subs --->http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Products/CarAudioVideo/Subwoofers/Shallow/TS-SW1041D

i bought the premier amp to push these --->http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Products/CarAudioVideo/Amplifiers/ChampionshipSeries/PRS-D1200SPL

has ne1 ever heard shallow mount subs b4, what did you think and will this be enough power to push these...

don't do shallow mounts. take the back seat out. i would say maybe 1000-1200w to push all 3

Yeah, I have never heard a set, but am very sceptical. I wouldn't spend the money on them myself. If they were as efficient as regular subs, all designs would be heading in this direction. There is always a way to make regular speakers fit. I am putting a set of Boston Pro 10's under the seat of my Dodge Quad cab. And I know those Fords are easy to raise the seat to give you more room if you need.

But, if you do end up installing these speakers, do a write up here, and let everyone know how they sound.

please don't put shallow mounts in your truck. i have a 15 in my extended cab

i'm not wanting to pull out the back seat though. they just started coming out with these about a year ago. i've heard good and bad things on online reviews just thought maybe someone here has heard them first hand. im thinking i got enough to make them sound good. i just wanted something were i wouldnt have to alter the back seat. but when i get'em installed i definitely will post.

You can install regular subs without taking out your back seat. I know with a lot of those fords you could just reverse the seat brackets and get an extra inch or two behind the back seat. That is enough to put a normal sub box behind the seat. I will bet with two 10's or 12's back there it would sound a lot better than those shallow mounts.

Do you have much experience with systems. Will you be able to compare what you hear with those, to three regular subs? Will you be able to hear the sound quality difference?

i had 2 mtx 12" blue thunder subs a while back and mtx 12" 8000. it was in a galante though. i'll be able to compare somewhat. from what i hear the shallow mounts dont hit the deep bass notes as hard as reg subs.

I havent heard miuch good about the Pioneer shallow mounts. I have heard that the Kicker CVTs are solid performers, and supposedly, the new Stereo Integrity BMs will be good performers, too.

If you could lift your seat with something like this http://www.lmiwelding.com/kits_supercab.htm you would be all set to put just about any sub under there and not be limited to shallow mount subs.

the mbquart shallow subs sound alot better than the pioneers.
