ne1 know about shallow mount???

Yeah, I have never heard a set, but am very sceptical. I wouldn't spend the money on them myself. If they were as efficient as regular subs, all designs would be heading in this direction. There is always a way to make regular speakers fit. I am putting a set of Boston Pro 10's under the seat of my Dodge Quad cab. And I know those Fords are easy to raise the seat to give you more room if you need.
But, if you do end up installing these speakers, do a write up here, and let everyone know how they sound.

Not sayint the OP's subs will or won't sould good, but threr are great sounding shallow subs out there, C-mass LS, JL TW5, Illusion Audio, just to name a few. And infact there is a move towards shallow subs.

Wow. That is impressive. I have a magazine at home where this did an install with a pair of DD shallow subs. Being that they did a huge install as they did, I assume they are good sounding speakers. They put the driver inside the cone. I didn't like this because it seems like it would stop a lot of air flow. Basically take away surface area.

But that is my un-professional opinion. I'd love to hear a couple different shallow mounts compared directly to their equivalent regular subs.

i had those 10" pioneer subs and i liked them. they get plenty loud. but that amp has to much power. youll be wiring them to 2ohms and giving them 2x the power. obviously you can go bigger and better but these are good subs for what they are. im sure youll be fine with them.

I had the premier shallow sub and i'm here to tell you they ain't worth a **** for output. The jl audio w1v2 is not that loud of a sub but it is three times louder than the pioneer and sounds better.

i'm not wanting to pull out the back seat though. they just started coming out with these about a year ago. i've heard good and bad things on online reviews just thought maybe someone here has heard them first hand. im thinking i got enough to make them sound good. i just wanted something were i wouldnt have to alter the back seat. but when i get'em installed i definitely will post.
I've heard them lots! and for low power use, There OK! not great just ok.

I replaced mine with Kicker CVT's and the cvt was many times better.

Next I'm going to try a JL shallow.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
