Same thing my installer guy said he did a lot of too. Everyone thinks they can be a car audio installer because they can most often successfully install an aftermarket HU and better speakers. Which is kinda true, maybe?

I know NOTHING!!..Ive seen and have done worse in the past 25 yrs..300 miles from the nearest town and after midnight,,blown fuse due to bumpy country rocky road,and main wiring grounded out.repaired and placed 12ga wiring in place of a fuse till I got one at an opened Western Auto back in the day!Ha! just about anything for some tunes

Is it bad to say ive seen worse? But its easy to do just twist the wires together, tape them, then tape the whole harness together to make it more sturdy

Never just tape without solder.
