MythBusters - Shattering Subwoofer

im shure its going to be a pro sound woofer of some sort. also probably see the pioneer truck pop up in the show .
the pioneer truk aint showing up any where anymore.

did you see the pics of it after it went up in flames?

a battery rack fell and shorted out the batteries then came fire

(unless it was filmed before it went up in flames)

From what I've read. Pushing anything past 1500W can potentially cause a lung to collapse. So, I'm guessing it might be possible to kill oneself during a comp. However, thinking about a little makes one ask. Why would the wattage matter when it would be the dB.....right?....or at least the air movement that would kill you......not the pure wattage.
You're correct. While yes, wattage plays its part (you're not too likely to put up big dB numbers on a low-power system) it is more the actual SPL level that would potentially create a health hazard from prolonged exposure ~ whether that hazard is the result of the volume levels causing hearing damage or just the pure force of air pressure causing internal damage to your person.
