my uncle's computer has the blue screen

well, this desktop is my uncles, but he gave it to me because he bought a new one. I've got a laptop so I don't need it, but I want to fix it and give it to my dad. I'm pretty sure that it's just the hard drive. The only problem is that the desktop doesn't have the recover disk or anything. So I guess that I've got to buy a new hdd and a copy of win xp right and it will work fine? Or could a tech store fix it for me cheap?

it would probably be cheaper for you to do it yourself... what does the blue screen say?? there should be an error and a code, if you type that code in google, you can usually get some help there... If you want to, post it here and I'll try to help you out.

New hard drive and "find" a copy of xp, and you're good

Try reformatting before you go all the way and buy a new hard drive....
