my type R

so i have a 15 inch type R in a 4 cube box tuned to 34 hz. i am giving it 600wrms at a 2 ohm load and today it decided to stop working. fuzz and shit comes out of the woofer. no bad connections or anything. could this mean its blown or the channels in the amp are screwed. i have tried it on both channels. i have never actually blown or heard a blown woofer. i need help. if anyone could help me that would be greatly appriciated. thanks.

no scratching noise. is that how you can tell a woofer is blown ?

check the condition of the tinsel leads, I had an old marantz woofer with a frayed tinsel that caused the same symptoms, a little sodder later, she was like new again, actually better, I needed to brace the enclosure in the rear

Visonik v1802a. its just temp right now. but could underpowering it cause problems ? because alpine says 750wrms and at 2 ohms this amp produces 600wrms.

no..unless your amp gains are set to high and youre clipping
