My Type ARRRRRRGGG 12's came today.

They finally showed up today via FREDEX. Some of you may remember I picked both of them up for just under 98 bucks shipped. The main reason I bought these was due to a few members here saying these would be great for my taste in music and my budget. I would like to thank those members that recommended them to me. These are Great subs. I have been around a few different types of sub setups, but they all hit the lows real well but not the highs. As of right now they are set at 4ohms being pushed by a Fosgate 400.4, each bridged to 2 channels. I know a few of the members here do no like the Type R's and that is cool so flame away but I am **** happy with them. Not highs like that. Higher bass notes. I do not listen to rap therefore I needed something that would hit on the "higher" bass note scale. "punchy" is that the way to describe it? Hell I don't know how to describe it. Also, unfortunatly due to my current building of my race truck, I don't have the cash sitting here to go out and buy top line shit. Yes punchy was the word you were looking for. Type R's are not a rare occurance around here and they're not bad for the mid-line budget. Glad you're happy when them and good luck with the amp purchase I hope that goes equally well.

They are the 05's. Used but definately worth the 97.48. I am currently looking at a Lanzar Vibe series amp. Has anybody ever used one of these? Here is the deal, at the place I work at we are awarded "points" for certain things we do. Kinda like a bonus. We can redeem these points at certain retailers for all kinds of crap. Not too many places that carry car audio on the list but I have found a few. The one place I am looking at right now has the Lanzar Vibe231 2 Channel 800 watt amp for 113.99 or they have the Lanzar Vibe431 4 channel 1200 watt amp for 175.99. I really don't need the 4 channels so I was thinking get the 2 channel 800 watt amp. everyone play Crime Mob - Knuck If You Buck in your car. Now see if all the bass notes hit equally. The first bass hits are somewhat higher and then right after those the really lows will hit twice. Just check it out. See what your subs do.

well with some systems, the very first bass notes wont sound as loud, then the bass notes after those will pound hard *** hell. Thats kinda how I see if a sub will handle most of the bass if it can hit both those types of notes from that song.
