This is crazy. But aren't you not suppose to put water on an electrical fire???
exactly why I hesitated but I disconnected the wires and did it regardless...the water just sizzled and didnt do shit for it...if you've seen an '06xxx I think theres area between the spider or something because the fire was right there and the plastic was covering it.

 
I dunno why im the only one to say this, but i remember pics of your install, there was trash and shit all over your truck, and wires justh laying everywhere. the amp was just chillin on a seat aith wires dangling, are you sure of what caused the fire, because when i looked at those pics of your install, i thought it was a **** waste of equipment if it was going to be treated like that.
Ive put more watts to my XXX with no problems for the guy "who heard they cant take alot of wattage" For 6 months i was running a XX Collossus at 1ohm bridged clamped at 3800 watts with no problems to the sub.
My install was finished a week after those pics and the amps was on a proper amprack and the wires were cleaned up...that was temporary just to see if this would work...but thanks for remembering.
