nice work... you would make 'ol grandpappy proud!
grandfather used to use one exactly like it up until about 7 years ago on his little acerage ...they run forever with just a little TLC! What are you doing with the motor? 2 cyl. right? Gonna sell it or take it to shows... man, I am getting reminiscent for my childhood home.

fyi: check this out for parts etc...

We have a 60-70s John Deere Tractor, I cant remember the model number because its 700 miles away, 2 cyl deisel, sat for like 5-6 years until my dad got his crap together and we put a new crank in last fall, runs like new now, and a couple years before that he had done a complete overhaul of the engine, we broke it in by cutting 80 acres of hay. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

The crank was heavy as hell, ~150lbs or so, and the flywheel weighed about the same, both of which we had to lift and maneuver into their places, with the crank being especially hard to put in its place.

Its a very unique tractor, hand clutch, and no electric start. It has a small 4 cyl engine that starts up with a 6v batt and it turns over the big motor.
