my tractor restoration....lots of pics, 56k beware..

Heres a 1951 model b john deere me and dad bought to restore and i just got finished painting it monday. Still have to reassemble it and buy some back tires. then put all the tires and rims on, and it will be done. Heres a good bit of pics from the way i got it to how it sits right now.

And thats how it sits now.. ill post more pics up when i get it put back together minus rims and tires.That will be this weekend most likely.

i have a 66 galaxie im doin right now also. im not going to paint it myself though because our shop isnt that big. LOL on the hill billy comment

nice work... you would make 'ol grandpappy proud!

grandfather used to use one exactly like it up until about 7 years ago on his little acerage ...they run forever with just a little TLC! What are you doing with the motor? 2 cyl. right? Gonna sell it or take it to shows... man, I am getting reminiscent for my childhood home.

it ran perfectly when i bough it.. motor will be goin back in with some new parts. And yep its a 2 cyl. We will prolly take it to a few shows. It will be in the town parade every year with the others. This is the second one we've done, ill upload a pic of the last one in a min. Then we have another on the way to be restored for some guy in texas, he seen the last one we did and is payin about 6 g's for us to do it.

yep...the ol buggers run and run and run and run........... too bad NO ONE makes anything like that anymore! everything is just throw away parts now...

yea im a redneck what can i say..... we've had about 5 to 6 farm tractors(john deere) and we have 5 lawn mowers (john deere) lol
