My Third Type-R

I am thinking about adding another 10" Type-R to the two I already have. I found a box and stuff for it, but I'm trying to decide on an amp. Do you think I should get a JBL 300.1 or a JBL 600.1?? This amp will only be powering one of my subs, I already have a sub for two. Is that possible to have two amps, One going to two subs and one going to one sub? Thanks

more than likely you will have the one sub getting more or less power than the other two.It wont be equal.Do like taylor said and just get the 1200.1 for the 3

haha...alright, I'll keep that in mind. If I do get another Type- R I will probably sell my amp and get a 1200.1. I just dont know if I'm going to port my box, and therefore I would need a subsonic filter, which JBL's dont have. But I think i'll keep it sealed with 3

type r's sound much much better in sealed anyways....i would stay sealed, i loved my type r 15 for sq when i had it....got me shiny trophy it did, 1stplace for sq in my class....

They have very good potential in the SPL department, for the money they cost. I had two Type R 12's that were plenty of bass for daily driving, plus I could turn the gain up and outbump basically anyone I ever encountered.

And they were sealed...

But if you actually want to get SPL out of these, I recommend going over 300W RMS power.

but in my arena, SQ, they were awesome.....my 15 was clean and tight in it's 1.5 cube sealed enclosure with a healthy 1060watts rms to it....

thats kinda cool. i was thinking of getting the loudest thing ever first thing i wanted, but now im realizing that this stuff might be TOO loud for me. or maby my sub is just real shitty and sounds terrible when turned up, but anyway im thinking about getting 2 12's then (if the price is decent)
