Ok...so here I have...a nissan 350z...
I took a couple days, ripped apart the interior...Raammat'd/Ensolited the doors, and the rear part that houses the glove box and rear speakers...and I did a medium job of the same in the trunk area (ran out of material)...all was good...car sounded great...stock stereo sounded awesome.
Installed the Alpine CDA-9887, with a PDX 4.150
Then I put in some Focal Polyglass 165CVX Coax's up front with some door pods...wow...the sound beautiful...it COULD sound better...but not bad.
Then I put in my Kicker CVT10" in my box from wickedcas.com (the one that replaces the stock glove box); basically it is a 1 cubic foot sealed enclosure firing downwards (has about 6" of room to fire down upon) into the glove box area...now my sub output really sucks...it doesn't hit, and its barely there...the game is up to around 60% which I think is already unnecessary...now I did raammat the entire glove box area and ensolite'd it before i put the box in...would that cause it? I also put a lot of polyfil in...well it seemed like a lot but it was only about 1/2 pound of the stuff (1/3 of the 20oz bag I bought)...could that be it? or is it just the enclosure itself? I mean, it really isn't even there until I really crank the stereo...I guess I could pump more gain...but I don't see why I would need to, and I don't think that would even solve the issue...
Anyone with any troubleshooting ideas?
Thanks!!!
