So i got everything in yesterday but im running into some issues. I have two 15' L7's running off a ZX 2500.1, RCA adaptor from my factory HU, and it's all running off of an Opima yellow top. I've set the gain and frequency and bass boost but if i turn any of them to high other than the freq. the amp wants to cut out and its not hitting an way near like it should. Also my internal and external lights dim considerably when the bass hits. Do i need a secondary battery, capacitor, alternator? whats going on any help would be appreciated thanks

what do you mean turn them to high other than the freq?

have you checked the subs wiring ? put ur bass boost to 0 and make sure your headunit has amp output or subwoofer to maximum (like SubW +8, or Amp Out +8) then just crank the gains till audible distortion then put them a little lower... do you have the amp properly grounded? what size wiring are you using?

you are pulling to much current. first read the big 3 upgrade sticky in the amp section, then you already have a new battery, last and most expensive is a new alternator. and the reason it doesnt cut out when you turn the frequency knob up is because that has nothing to do with how much current it pulls, unlike gain and bass boost.

You need an HO alternator. Period.
You might get away with it by wiring the subs as a 4 ohm total load - I'm guessing you have it as 2 ohm now?
more to the electrical than just a high output alt. for 1 the alt must be able to produce more power all the way through the usable rpm range which from alot of high output alts requires alot of tinkering and it would also do better with a second battery in back to go along with it......

with that amp i would do the extra battery big 3 and a propper alt for the vehicle. this also allows for up grades. yellow top up front kinetik 2400 (or alike in back) 240+ amp alt and the big 3 will allow you to add 200-500 watts of power for mids and highs plus what you already have....

I have it turning on again the remote had gotten loose. Yeah i do think im just not giving it enough power... would a second battery and a capacitor help. whenever i turn the gain or boost up the amp powers off and in therefore the subs cut out. WHat the most inexpensive option at this time and how much would an high output alternator run for

QUIT ****ING DOING THAT! Gawd ****...leave the bass boost OFF and have a professional set your gains since your completely inept...
