LOTUS FTW!
Well a couple of weeks ago i finished my trunk install and made a thread about. can be found here. http://forums.caraudio.com/vb/showthread.php?p=1435199#post1435199
now i finally finished my frontstage and it seems like my system if done. both tweeters and mids are 8 ohm drivers and are roughly getting 42.5 watts each. and let me tell you, these these rock. awesome midrange and the tweeter is detailed especially in the top end. These mids and tweets can get truly loud if i want them to but i'm an SQ guy so i don't play my music too loud all the time. but i did turn it up and it got loud. I got these mids and tweets for a total of $190. So they are pretty cheap. I'd recommend it for an active setup. Here are the pics of the frontstage:
I'll start off with my HU. Eclipse 8455. It does all my processing. Xover pts/slopes done on here as well as a 5 band peq dedicated to each the mids and tweets. Excellent HU here. Superb SQ.
I finally installed my new mids, Seas CA18RLY yesterday and so far so good. Had a lil trouble installing these because of the way my speaker hole in the car is built but i got it in and they work awesome. Here are pics of the final install of the mids.
Next is the LPG 25NFA.
I have them in the stock location right now and i just threw them in there. It sounds good from there but i don't like the look of it right now. maybe i'll buy the hinged tweeter mount and make it a cleaner install. actually i will buy the hinged mounts, don't like the look at all, haha.
So any questions, comments, criticism, suggestions would appreciated. thanx.
