my system doesnt power up! help please!

Today i went to my car, turned it on, and found that my HU or my amps would trun on with the ignition. There was no way i could get my system to turn on. So i searched behind the HU and saw everything connected and the remote line too (i made sure to check that since the amp wasnt going on). i then checked all the wiring throughout the car and its all connected correctly. No broken wires or anything.

to test to make sure the HU wasnt skrewed up i put my stock one in. I could get it to tell me the time and load CD's but i wouldnt play the cds. Then i put the pioneer HU back in and it wouldnt even power up and neither would the amp.

The fuses are fine. I checked all those

hmm... not sure what to tell you if you checked all the wiring and fuses. i had the same problem not so long ago and it was because i had a blown radio fuse in my car's fuse box.

Yes I pressed on..lol..and Ill check the fuses again right now. How could i test to ee if its the fuse?

i would just simply switch it out with another one if you have one.

check the fuses for voltage on both sides, Check ground on h/u.

I'm actually having the same problem with my system right now. My head unit comes on but my amps don't turn on. I was going to pull my H/U out today and check the remote wire. Still need to check the fuses.

Aight, my dad knows something about this stuff so he said he'll take a look with me. Thanks for the advice I'll be sure to check what you say to check.

Well, it turned out to be a fuse. Only this fuse wasnt near the battery or the amp or HU it was like the master fuse area of the car. I had to read my cars manuel to find it. I then replaced the fuse and everything worked again..finaly..whew

yeah it gave me a scare when it happened to me too. i was so relieved when i found it was only a little fuse.

yeah, only being a little fuse definitely relieved me. I thought my HU was broken or all my wiring went bad.
