My system doesn't hit high base notes anymore?

i have a thought have you thought of maybe adding an additional eq i know the clarion sells a very good one on amazon for like $50 i added one to mine and i can better tune my system including sub but it helps you turn up your midbass that you are lacking and want just my opinion but i would try it after all it is possible a cheap fix to your prob bro later hope this helps.
