what would you say is a good quality loc?

Any brand name one should work. For his new price of $12 shipped you really couldnt go wrong with the scosche being sold above.

If its a ford, get a new headunit. They sound horrible on LOC's. Something about how it cuts down bass at higher volume levels just makes it sound shitty.

Pretty much all the devices mentioned will go in the trunk anyway... you can do an AudioControl solution with the DDC extension or whatever... but honestly, how often are you really going to screw with it while you're driving? I'm considering getting one myself (3Sixty.2), but I think I'm going to wait and just install everything and see how it sounds first.

i'm always screwing around with the 3 band eq that the stock has

especially the sub, some songs i like more bass, and some i dont want so much, so i'm always messing with it, so i think a eq would be nice for me

Are you going to hide the eq while still retaining control from the driver seat? If so that sounds pretty sweet.

yea theres a place i'm thinking of putting it, where its kinda hidden, and i can control it

let me get a picture of the interior of the car so i can show you where i'm thinking

Ouch, I can see why you don't want to go for a new HU. The other option is there is the odd amp out there that has speaker level inputs. If I remember right my Kicker SX series can take them, not sure how they'd hook in though. I do know it'll accept up to a 16V input signal.

Thats going to be a nice install even if you dont go with my LOC. I had my Audiocontrol on a custom bracket between the split front seat. Then, it was in the dash with a custom kit, but I didnt like the way the kit looked. Currently its under my AC controls until I figure a more permanant place for it.

The way it was till recently when I sold that HU,

Oh yea i know what youre talking about, but if i did that i would have to pull too many wires, i dont like that idea, but it is a posibility

I like how that looks, i would do something like that if i ever switch the head, because its a double bin, and i would get a single bin player with a half bin EQ
