This is my first attempt at an install that wasn't screwing amps into backseats with messy wiring all over the place. I just wanted a clean, simple install that would allow me to use some of my trunk. It's also my first attempt at carpeting. I'm already unhappy with it though, and am planning out a whole new install once I get some money.
Please forgive the crappy cell phone pics! I have a build album on a disposable camera I just have to take to get developed. If anyone seems interested I'll go get it done.
1) Removed old setup (no pics sorry! It was a huge spray painted ported box that took up the whole trunk which i sealed off from the cabin by using foam blocks... very messy looking). I also made a new floor at ths point from wood so that I could secure things to it with screws. The stock floor was thick cardboard/fiberboard. I incorporated hinges into the design so that I could still access my spare when finished.
2) A picture of my big three with 0 gauge/ANL fuses.
3) My pioneer premier 880prs:
4) A photo of the trunk setup. In the new install, the sub box will be where the amp rack is and the new amps will be under a false floor.
5) A closeup of the amp rack.
Sorry for the crappy pics again! What do you think?
