My Setup....

Was just wondering what you guys think about my current setup.. looking at changing my deck out once i get money.

Deck: Pioneer DEH-7700MP

Front Speakers (Stage i think its called?): Alpine Type-R SPR-17S

Rear Speakers: Alpine Type-R SPR-17C

Speaker Amps: (2) Pioneer GM-5300T

Subs: (2) JL Audio 10W7

Sub Amp: JL Audio 1000/1 (Black edition) Wired at 1.5 Ohms

Wiring: Kicker 1/0 gauge from the engine bay back (220A inline fuse)

Kicker 4 gauge from fuse block back

Radio shack speaker wire

Boss RCA's

4 gauge "custom" ground kit (Big 3)

Cap: Power Acoustik 3.0F cap

Sound Deadening: Lots of RAAMat and foam.

Alternator: 180A H/O

Im looking into getting the Alpine CDA-9887 in about a month. Also all this is in 2002 Celica. I got a little bit of rattling still in my hatch handle but im going to look into fixing that here soon.

Im also a schucks battery and looking to get a Yellow top Optima. And im running a 80A maxi fuse for my 1000/1 and will be buying a T block and an ANL fuse holder to swap it over to a 100A Fuse.

1. save your money and dont get that cap

2. you dont need rear speakers so save your money or use that money towards a better front stage. if you do that, you can save more money by buying just one good amp for your front

3. I wouldn't run anything with the name Boss in it and that goes for RCA's too (unless we're talking about mustangs, then boss = ***)

thats all I can think of for now

oh and I just realized that this is your current setup. Well theres a lot that can be improved so I'd do it. Sell the cap, sell the front and rear stage, get a good front stage, sell your speaker amps, and get one good quality speaker amp, and get new rca's

gotta love the mustang anx x2on the cap you wound be better off with second battery in back but the rest looks good bro

i hear second batteries are really only for when using your system when the car is off and that they are a real pain to set up. and that they strain the charging system. Im looking into just getting a yellow top. I like having both front and back speakers because my friends *****ed when i didnt have rears. The boss rcas are fine they worked perfectly normal like any other rca.
