my setup, your thoughts ? am i on the right path ?

hi guys, was offered a "DLS w712 DM" and a "Soundstream t5 12" at a 100$ each with enclosure ( each in its own )

used to have 2 w712 double magnet dls´s in a huge ported box back in ´99 and loved them but this t5 looks the part to..

Need to keep the enclosure as small as possible this time around. Only going to use one sub.. witch would you recommend ?

never used a t5 and don´t know if it´s better or worse than the w712.

currently using 2 Genesis stereo 100´s, one for front speakers(soundstream tarantula) and one for the back ( soundstream tarantula 6x9) and a Genesis dual mono bridged intended for a sub. Was offered a DLS ca51 amp very cheap (80$) , would that be better for this setup ?

Isn´t the DLS A7 more on par with this Genesis setup ? ( anyone here with genesis experience ? is the dual mono 1 ohm stable ? )

Always loved Genesis amps even though they are a bit expensive but if the CA51 is just as good or better then i´ll probably buy that one, sell the Genesis amps and pocket 500$

Also thinking of switching out the tarantula 6x9´s for a dls 1070... what do you think ?

do i need a capacitor for this setup ? if so 1,2,5 farad ?

Any help greatly appreciated, been out of the game for quite some time.

And she´s really got kids fired up.. every grammar school in the country is competing in "skóla hreysti" where they compete in pushups, pull-ups, dips, and a fitness course.. last winter a girl set a record in pushups ( 14 year old ) and did 177.. and kid obesity gone down 25% . a really good rolemodel for these times when dressing slutty and putting on a duckface is about all girls do to get attention.

The sound is good quality and i think it has alot to do with the amps.

Think it can get much better when i put in the sub, not running any highpass filters at the moment, no xovers and "just" tarantulas all round..

Would like to think that the DLS 1070´s are better. i´m I right ? where are all the DLS specialists ?

is that CA51 as good as the genesis ones if i´d take all 3 out and replace with that one ? isn´t the A7 more inline with my amp setup ?

they really do pack a surprising amount of power for such a small size.. and the 100´s are rated by genesis at 2x50 genesis watts.. what ever that is.

sound like 2x150rms to me. Always liked the sound quality from them, and even more from the Dual mono. however having just 1 5 channel amp would fit better in my car, even though it isn´t chrome with gold nameplate. would a 2 farad capacitor do me any good ? Do you have any experience with w712 dls´s or the t5 sound stream ?

oh forgot.. do you train in cross-fit ? been thinking of trying it out to boost my endurance. hate going endure/motocross riding and hardly being able to breathe after 20 minutes..
